It turns out that Arizona's Brandon Webb needed little run support to beat Atlanta today 11-0 at Chase Field. In a solid outing Webb recorded 4 strikeouts and 3 walks as he held the Braves to 4 hits and shut them out.

At a midafternoon press conference, Atlanta Braves officials flanked Pat Burrell and announced they had reached an extension with the 32-year-old left fielder.
Terms include a $37,500,000 salary distributed over 3 years.
This year Burrell has hit no home runs and posted a .235 batting average.
