But they can't, so the good hitters get the big bucks. Brandon Snyder showed how it's done as he went 5 for 5 against the Salem Avalanche and helped the Frederick Keys beat them 10-7.
The manager for the Avalanche told the BNN sportswriters, "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it. That's the game of baseball. Don't make mistakes and you win a lot more ballgames."
If Snyder keeps hitting like this, he could be headed for a big pay raise.
B. Snyder hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off S. Randolph in the 8th.
This season Snyder is hitting at a .340 pace with 11 home runs, 34 RBIs and has scored 31 times. | | Friday, August 1st, 2008: Britton Earns CAR Top Pitcher Trophy Zach Britton of the Frederick Keys was on top of his game the entire month of July, capping it off with the Carolina League Pitcher of the Month honors.
