Week 3 is done, file and reports are uploaded. The #1 Hawkeyes trailed by double figures at halftime, would they be able to come back against Pitt? The CFL Game of the Week, Georgia @ WVU, was a good one. A field goal with 19 seconds left was the only difference in this game. There are several good games this coming week including Michigan @ ND, Wisconsin @ Ohio State and Auburn @ Georgia just to name a few. Should be a big week! Next sim on Saturday @ 11am EST.

Guys, the latest file is done and will be ready for download by 10:30 Eastern. Sorry for the delay (had to take Kelly out to get her ring resized)
The Cubs have been dominating the Central and lead the NL with a 23-9 record. Will the recent trade of Big Z derail the surging Cubs? On the other side, the Rays have really started hot and lead the AL with a record of 24-9. There were some big injuries this week and a few key pitchers will miss a month or more. Also, a Met collected his 2,000th hit!
Remember, if you don't specify what to do with a player in DFA he will be sent to AAA, unless he has 5 or more years of service time. If he has 5 or more years of service time, he will be released, no questions asked!
Next sim goes off Thursday 1/8

Week 2 is done, file and reports are uploaded. There were some good Top 25 games this week. Notre Dame looked to bounce back from a tough loss in week one but faced #10 Auburn this week. Iowa had big game against #11 Ole Miss and Ohio State faced Texas A & M ranked ranked #19 in the country. All ended up being good games. A big welcome to all the new coaches who joined the CFL just in the past week. A reminder to all coaches old and new that we allow coaches to coach at 2 schools, one BCS and one non-BCS. So if you're interested in coaching at an additional school, let me know! Week 3 will be simmed on Tuesday, 9pm EST. Todd

Ok, here is the draft file! Hope you all had a nice Christmas...and wishes for a Happy New Year. I'll be out on the town tonight with a fine group to include former MN stud OT Roberto Baldi, and the richest realtor in town, Big D Ollis. Big D is so dominant even in a down market, and is doing such a fine job picking NFL games in the BTS pool, that he'll likely be insisting on appetizers, desert and Martini's for all this eve... Anyway, an nice file. For whatever reason, instead of negatives this year, we've got guys rated in the very low numbers...like 0.04 and such. Suffice it to say, I checked the file and these guys--and the whole draft--is comprable to previous drafts. The draft will be starting Mon, Jan 5...More news on that to come! Peace and blessings! Big Al

CFL Game of the Week
#3 vs.
#18 It doesn't get much better than this, as father & son go head to head. Coach Nate Hanson has National Title aspirations for the Wolverines this year and certainly doesn't want to be upset by his father and the Notre Dame Irish. Both teams are rested after a bye week. This will be the first real test for Michigan though while the Irish have played a couple tough games and beaten a ranked Auburn team in the process. Michigan comes in as a slim 2 point favorite. Can't wait to see how this plays out! |

BLB AL Player of the Week
|
![/blb/reports/news/html/images/carlos_pena.jpg]() In the twilight of his career, 35-year-old Jermaine Dye of Chicago recaptured some of the old magic last week and came away with the American Player of the Week Award.
"I've been playing since I was a kid," Dye told reporters, "but you're never too old to feel the thrill of success."
Dye outpaced the rest of the league's hitters last week, reeling off 14 hits in 27 at-bats, 4 home runs and 14 RBIs to stake his claim to the award.
Dye's current batting average stands at .309 and he has chalked up 6 home runs and 24 RBIs. |
