DKBL - 10/13 Sim Completed
Written by Daniel Stamey
Thursday, 13 October 2011
League file, reports and utilities are uploaded.
Trades have been processed.
DKBL amateur draft continues and the Twins are up in round 2. We need to get moving so as to complete 3 rounds using the draft tool.
Next sim is scheduled for Sunday. Deadline for exports is 7pm MT/9pm ET.
In an outstanding first World Series for MLHB, the New York Yankees stormed back from an 0 - 3 deficit to win the World Series in 7 games over the Cincinnati Reds. The Reds looked like they were going to sweep the series but somehow the Yankees kept their composure and took the next 4 games. Congrats to both the Yankees and Reds for their outstanding seasons and for giving the MLHB a memorable first World Series!
I am in the process of uploading the league file and reports. The next step in the league is to do the rule 5 draft. Ok, I was not planning to have rule 5 but clearly I forgot to turn it off and will do so once we get past this offseason's rule 5 draft. Here is the offseason schedule:
Sunday, Oct 2, sim until a day before the rule 5 draft
You will need to move any rule 5 eligible players that you don't want to lose onto your 40-man roster after this sim and export.
Tuesday, Oct 4, sim to start of preseason
This is a sim simply to give teams a little time to do any offseason trades.
Thursday, Oct 6, sim to start of spring training
Sunday, Oct 9, sim first 12 games of spring training
Tuesday, Oct 11, sim final 12 spring training games to opening day
Thursday, Oct 13, Opening day 1971 sim (remember, we sim 14 day sims in 1971)
Again, congrats to the Yankees and Reds and good luck next season!
Congratulations to the New York Yankees and the Cincinnati Reds on getting to the first MLHB World Series. The AL Championship series was as hard fought and outstanding as expected with the Yankees going up 2-0 before the Twins came back to tie it at 2 games a piece before the Yankees took game 5, 3-2. The Yankees had home field advantage and that seems to have been the difference as they won all three games at home.
The NL Championship series didn't have the suspense of the AL as the Reds easily took the Mets out 3 games to 0.
The World Series will be simmed as soon as tomorrow if the teams get their exports in. The league file and reports are uploaded. The teams with the best records face off for it all!
West Virginia RB Brian Farmer is the winner of the 2021 Heisman Trophy. Farmer rushed for 2,209 yards and 21 touchdowns, and had 130 receptions for 1,325 yards and 11 touchdowns. The Junior tailback lead the Mountaineers to a 11-2 record on the season.
